Our Story

Our wilderness gives us so much. Over the past few years, many of us have sought peace and solace in some of the last remaining Coastal Sage Scrub habitat left in the world. But our hillsides and canyons need your help to stay wild, accessible, and healthy. Please protect the land you love by joining us today!

Whether you’re an avid mountain biker, a hiker, or simply love the views of our wilderness, your contribution will help to:

  • Improve and maintain sustainable trails

  • Restore endangered habitats for our threatened wildlife

  • Protect native butterflies and other animal species

  • Provide hands-on, science-based, outdoor education to under-resourced school children

  • Inspire your friends and neighbors to protect our open space for generations to come.

The first $6,250 that we raise will be MATCHED, dollar for dollar. If you contribute today, your generosity doubles. That means your $50 donation will have $100 of impact. Please give today to protect the land we all love!

Laguna Canyon Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit created to reach beyond the usual grassroots level for regional open space preservation in Laguna Canyon. Our mission - to preserve, protect, enhance and promote the 22,000-acre South Coast Wilderness - brings together state, county and city landowners and managers to work in partnership on behalf of wilderness in our increasingly urban county. To this end, we raise funds to restore important wildlife habitat, maintain and improve the 70-mile trail system in Laguna Coast and Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park, increase public awareness of wilderness conservation, acquire land for preservation in perpetuity, and offer free public interpretive programs and standards-based nature programs for underprivileged schoolchildren. For more information visit lagunacanyon.org.
