Environmental Nature Center
For over 50 years, the Environmental Nature Center (ENC) has connected people of all ages to the natural world through hands-on environmental education and meaningful outdoor experiences.
Located in Newport Beach, the ENC serves more than 30,000 people from throughout Orange County and beyond each year through school field trips, summer camps, public programs, community events, volunteer opportunities, and the award-winning ENC Nature Preschool. At the ENC Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary in Modjeska Canyon, students and families explore native habitats, learn about local wildlife, and develop a deeper understanding of Southern California's natural ecosystems.
The ENC believes that meaningful experiences in nature inspire curiosity, foster environmental stewardship, and strengthen communities. Through scholarships and community partnerships, we work to ensure that people from all backgrounds have access to transformative experiences that deepen their connection to the natural world and inspire lasting positive change.
As our communities face growing environmental challenges, including climate change, habitat loss, and biodiversity decline, the ENC helps prepare the next generation of leaders, problem-solvers, and informed citizens to create a more sustainable future. At the same time, we inspire people of all ages to make choices that reduce their environmental impact and contribute to healthier, more resilient communities.
Your support helps provide environmental education to thousands of students, expand access for underserved communities, and inspire a lifelong ethic of environmental responsibility. Together, we are cultivating a future in which people live more sustainably, communities thrive, and the natural world is protected for generations to come.
